Symposium: One-to-One Art in care communities
Cultural Centre Valve 16.10.2025

For whom?
Social and healthcare professionals and students who want to use arts-based methods in their work or collaborate with artists.
Art and culture professionals and students who want to work in care environments.
Everyone who cares about art done with one person at a time.
The symposium is free of charge.
In the symposium, we will explore the diverse ways in which one-to-one art has been done in care environments—and what more could be done.
How can professionals in social and healthcare services utilize art in their client work? What structural challenges and opportunities there are in bringing art into the social and healthcare sector? What ethical questions need to be considered?
The symposium is part of the Kehä Festival of One-to-One Art, where artists from all across Europe perform for one person at a time. All artworks take place both in care environments and at the public event at Kulttuuritalo Valve.
Come to enjoy and learn, to network and make an impact!
