ARTWORKS IN CARE COMMUNITIES

ILME’s aim is to promote accessibility to art and culture and the realisation of cultural rights. The Kehä Festival brings art to communities that are easily excluded from arts and cultural services or face challenges in accessing the arts. Kehä’s works will embark on a care institutions tour on 15.10.2025.

Symposium: One-to-One Art in care communities

What does one-to-one art have to offer in care environments — now and in the future? A meeting for professionals and students from the art world and social and health sector. Anyone interested is welcome.

Symposium at Cultural Centre Valve at 16.10.2025.

MORE INFO

We invite artists from all over Europe who work from a one-to-one art perspective, social and health workers who believe in the potential of art, and all those interested to join us in the Kehä.

Kehä Festival goes international

In 2024 and 2025, Kehä-Festival will be organised as a part of the One-to-One Art project, which has been awarded Creative Europe funding for the period 1.11.2023 – 30.4.2026. The City of Oulu will also support the project. ILME’s partners in the project are the theatre group Gato Escaldado from Lisbon, Portugal, and the residency operator House collective from Klanjec, Croatia. In each country, different ways of bringing one-to-one art to the public will be developed during the project.
