AGORA Fundacao Bienal de Arte de Cerveira Landscape – Ines Magalhaes

AGORA

AGORA transforms drawing into an intimate journey between artist and participant. In this one-to-one encounter, each line maps our shared present moment, creating a visual cartography of connection and presence.

In AGORA participants are invited to experience presence through immersion in drawing. Creating a visual map of rhythm, the work is simply a trace of connection and movement.

The work is to be experienced by everyone of all backgrounds and ages.

This project developed from my interest in music, drawing and attention. Bringing these three key points together felt like a challenging exercise and became a rewarding practice.

One-to-one art approach opens up a new way to engage with participants, one that is more immediate and intimate. It breaks the barrier between artist and participant, building a bridge between the two which reveals the potential for connection.

I want to thank Timo Harju and the team for the amazing opportunity to bring AGORA to the 10th edition of Kehä Festival, for believing in this project and of course to also greet everyone who visited the festival and showed up to the present moment together.
